"A Journey Through Art History" was the theme for PSGDC's contribution to the Arts in the Neighborhood program spnsored by the Haym Salomon Foundation. Artists, their families, Haym Solomon representatives, and PSGDC staff attended a festive opening on July 12 in historic Borough Hall in downtown Brooklyn. Borough President Howard Golden spoke of the many important contributions that seniors make to our society.

The Haym Salomon Foundation offers grants each year to Senior Citizen centers to enhance art programs. PSGDC artists worked in a variety of mediums as they "travelled" through periods from Ancient Egypt to Gothic to modern-day computer art.
Their work included mosaics, sculpture with clay, tapestry, painting in different styles, and beadwork.
