PPROGRAMS, SUPPORT GROUPS, RELAXATION TECHNIQUES

The Family Caregiver Project offers an ongoing series
of support groups and educational programs for
caregivers. All events are free and held at the Family
Resource and Adult Day Services Center,
1 Prospect Park West.

Upcoming and ongoing:

Reiki for Caregivers (pronounced “Ray-kee”).
An ancient hands-on healing technique that helps with relaxation, stress reduction, mental clarity, revitalization, and spiritual connectedness led by Certified Reiki Instructors. Second Wednesday of every month, 6-7:30 pm.

Elderlaw workshop sponsored by Long Island
Alzheimer’s Foundation, October 20, 6 pm.

All About Forgetfulness, understanding Alzheimer’s,
sponsored by Long Island Alzheimer’s Foundation,
November 3, 6:00 pm.
